Occam and the Inmos toolset

Occam is a parallel programming language originally developed by Inmos for using on their Transputer products. More information about the history of Occam can be found at Wikipedia.

The early Occam 2 development tool for the T414 and T800 was called Transputer Development System (TDS). It was a little cumbersome to use!

Later, Inmos released the toolset software development products (initially Occam and then later ANSI C). These provided command line tools to be used for each stage of code generation (compiling, linking etc.) simular to other vendors compiler tools at the time.
