Easy Fundraising

Wouldn't it be great if we could persuade the big firms, like Amazon, Tesco, John

Lewis, Ebay etc. to cough up the money we need to spend on projects in Torver?

To donate to our Community Fund?

Well, we can do just that, with your help, and it won't cost you a bean!

Do you buy goods online?

If you do, how about allowing your retailer to donate to the village charity fund at no cost to you?

The Nobbut Torver Community Fund is registered with easyfundraising.org.uk, an organisation devoted to helping raise funds for charities by getting the big retailers to donate a small percentage of any purchase you make (1 or 2%) to your chosen cause (this one, of course). You won't be paying it, they will, a little extra to ease their road to Heaven (and to offset against tax).

Easy Fundraising have more than 2,700 retailers and suppliers on their list.

Please help us get their money.

I have researched Easy Fundraising very thoroughly and it is a legitimate concern attracting much praise.

If you go to the Nobbut Torver Community Fund account on the Easy Fundraising website you can register to support Torver. On that page click 'Support us now' and create an account.

You can claim a donation by accessing your chosen retailer through the Easy Funding website, but there's an easier way that generates five times the donations. You can install the 'Find and remind' tool bar which will appear whenever you access a participating retail website. It will look like this:

Here's a useful tip:

Sometimes when you call up a retail site the yellow tool bar fails to appear so your donation doesn't get recorded. But there's a way to be sure once you have registered as a supporter:

Below you'll find links to a whole list of popular retail companies you can access directly through the Easy Fundraising website.

If the retailer you want is not on the list you'll find them all here on the

Easy Fundraising Retailers page.

When you've found the retailer page you want, just click on 'Go shopping' and your (their) donation to the Torver Community Fund is assured.

If you type a product into Google, any listed participating retailer will show "easyfundraising partner" just below the title:

The Find and Remind tool bar does not appear in your browser every time you use it, only on the retail website you call up. It asks if you would like to donate to Torver? and you click 'Activate donation' before you shop.

That's about all there is to it. The donations you attract will take a few days to find their way into our easyfundraising account and they will tot it up once a quarter. If our account holds more than £15 they will pay it straight into the Nobbut Torver Community Fund bank account. If less they'll hold it over until next time.

A few % doesn't sound much, but it mounts up, and the more of you who sign up the more cash we will get.

Businesses (B & Bs, guest houses, campsites, pubs, Landrover dealerships....)

This is not just for us little people buying groceries from Tesco or 40 Shades of Grey from Amazon; many major suppliers are featured and maybe some of yours are on the list. Create an account, install the 'Find and Remind' tool bar and you'll know the moment you access your supplier's website. Bulk orders would generate large amounts of dosh for the Torver Community Fund.

Please sign up for the Nobbut Torver Community Fund account on Easy Fundraising now.

It will cost you nothing. It will bring cash in to Torver.

Another useful tip:

If you have a few retailers you regularly buy from online, why not place the links on your desktop so you can call them up easily?

Find a favourite retailer in the list (above right) or from the Easy Fundraising Retailers and call up the page.

Now drag and drop it onto your desktop, and if you don't know how, go to Placing a website on your desktop for instructions.

Now, when you call up the Easy Fundraising page for your chosen retailer, click 'Go shopping' and spend, spend, spend for Torver.
