Animals,
all of them.
Society turns the other cheek,
allowing the animals to play and screech.
Every authority figure turns,
a blind eye to the madness.
When the monkeys swing from rafters,
and hyenas fill the room with tormenting laughter,
the zoo keepers run fast,
from their one job,
to keep the peace amongst the animals.
I sit alone amid the sea,
of horrid animals around me,
able to still grasp my humanity.
The animals may still have faces,
like every other person on this planet;
but within the cafeteria,
their favorite playground,
I see no humans,
no friendly face,
only the animals,
inhabit this place.
