Teachers want to teach,

nurses want to tend,

policemen want to tackle crime

and soldiers to defend

Firemen want to put out fires

and builders to construct,

basically that's who we are

and basically we're fucked

Fucked because of managers

who loom increasing large,

who neither know nor give a toss

as long as they're in charge

They eat at our reality,

loosen all its threads,

watch it fall apart and then

sleep soundly in their beds

And when the whole thing crumbles

they will tell us it's a shame,

use their special gifts for finding

someone else to blame

And we'll be watching meekly

as they press the self-destruct,

basically that's how it is

and basically we're fucked.
