RoB Raid Event Strategy - Stampede of the Goblins

Updated: 2/27/2013

Past strategies: Not So Silent Night

Holy War

Applicable to: The Sylvan Labyrinth, Stampede of the Goblins

I've highlighted some new notes in red. Feel free to comment in the forum if you have counter thoughts on any of this or if you feel something needs to be emphasized. Please do not share with others outside the order as the effectiveness (to rank up) is diluted if everyone uses it.

This strategy is more tips than full fledge guide (due to changes to how the event work, it is not as exploitative as the Not So Silent Night version) from the perspective of not using HP and CW so adapt to your style. Also, you are aiming for ranking, not item/card exchanging. If you rather be able to exchange for more items/cards, this strategy is also worthwhile to incorporate, but you will need more Holy Powders since damage dealt is more important. Finally, since the event is divided into two parts, this strategy shines more in the second half of the event.

Terms:

-Tag: Hitting a boss at least once with a deck

-Gate bosses: The three bosses you need to defeat to open the "gates"

Set up a main and a weak event deck. Main deck has your skill cards as the group leader and best attackers. Weak deck is a deck of one Skeleton or other such card. Main deck will be used for killing the bigger bosses, weak deck is mainly for tagging to get the impact bonus reward and for sharing non-needed gate bosses.

For the main deck, I feel having skill cards makes a world of difference, even if they are just previously released ones. I recommend high rares and getting them to level 16-18 or as far as you can with any feeders you have and feeding as you get more until about level 16-18 so that you'll get more benefit out of the free enhancing that occurs. (I haven't fully thought this one out so let me know if you think otherwise and your reasoning.) Then I suggest sorting by ATK PWR and putting in your highest attackers, realm doesn't matter. Also throw in one card to enhance if there's a particular one you want to enhance or if all the others are max enhanced. I don't think you loose that much damage to not want to take advantage of this perk.

Keep your Stamina and AP bar as full as possible when you've defeated two gate monsters. Basically, you want to time it so that you have as much Stamina and AP as possible right as you're about to open the gates. So once I have two gate bosses, I wait for Stamina and AP to recharge, using enough Stamina (as I get close to full) so that I am close to full Stamina when I have full AP (since it takes me longer to refill to full AP than Stamina). However it is worthwhile to use an AP if someone has shared a (strong) boss. If you are considering using resources, I recommend using a Cure Water when your gate is open and you have close to full AP. I don't really recommend using Holy Powders unless it's a big boss (and more useful saved for Holy Wars).

Don't be selfish - share gate bosses you don't need by attacking with a weak deck and calling order members. If everyone does this, as an order we'll conserve the Stamina needed to each open the Gates of Hell, allowing us as a group to get bigger bosses, which will be in turn shared to you. However, do watch your bosses and kill it off when there's 2-5 minutes left, if no one else has vanquished it already.

NOTE: Gate bosses count (i.e. it gets marked off) only if you are the one to vanquish it or you discovered it. Needs confirming. Confirmed.

Also note, if you still have it, the free Goblin Powder received from the birthday pack converts to a regular Holy Powder after the event... Woot for one free HP. :P.

Finally, as right now it is much easier to battle rank, if you are interested in battle ranking and don't mind your event rewards suffering slightly, use up your ATK PWR on a player, when you have more than 100 ATK PWR, before attacking bosses. (The longer you can hold out, the more honor points you get upon winning. Attacking the same person with the same deck, you get more honor points if you're at 200 ATK PWR out of 300 ATK PWR versus at 100 ATK PWR out of 300 ATK PWR.) You may need to adjust your ATK deck so you can attack with the ATK PWR you have at the moment. If you find someone you can defeat with your deck, write the username down and reuse as needed, maximum three times a day. (Much easier if your attack deck uses less than 100 ATK PWR.) If you can get into the weekly top 2500, you get 40 Gems which translates into 2 "free" HP. Also, if you have the patience (you are looking at around two years if you can earn 20 Gems a week (top 5000) or one year with 40 Gems a week (top 2500)), might I suggest purchasing Athena. Since it costs 20 Gems to purchase 1 Holy Powder, she "costs" 105 HP and sells for 200-425 HP (data gathered from Past Deals history). Supply is also low so I'm fairly confident selling will be easy. If you're interested in the other cards, I'd suggest converting your Gems into HP and then buying the card (or two) from the Bazaar.

Also, I believe defeat reward now encompasses previously named damage and defeat reward and takedown reward is previously named vanquisher reward.

Slightly obvious, but it is to your advantage to keep an eye on the game as often as you can to see if there are bosses to tag/help kill.

remove inactive fellows: won't share bosses and wont help kill

at least one boss is yours, only one rare boss at a time?

-bosses can be shared every 20 mins

-major factors that affect your ranking: how often you can check, event skill, deck strength (so you can use 1 instead of 2 to kill gate bosses)

-unless you're on the cusp, i recommend using ATK PWR to battle rank
