As the expedition entered the World Abyss, Commander noticed how things began to spiral. It was subtle. Colors twisted off of our skin and fur, as if someone shone a great, colored light at us. Nobody else paid enough attention to such a small change. We were all too busy with the sight of floating platforms and twisted ledges that led in all directions at once. He mentioned how peculiar it was that our hues distorted in such a way, but the relevance of his statement did not hit us until much later after the Commander’s death.
