Jennifer Goff

Jen has been with The Distracted Globe since the beginning with Suddenly Hamlet.  A transplant from Anchorage, Denver and Portland (that's Portland with rain, not Portland with lobster), Jen moved down here to be part of The Warehouse Theatre Journeyman program, spent 5 years working as the Chief Curiosity Officer at Brains on Fire, and earned her MA in theatre at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.  She is currently spending most of her time in Detroit working toward her PhD at Wayne State University.

Jen studied theatre and English at The University of Portland... and misses the wild Northwest.  Some favorite roles include Thomasina in Arcadia, Catherine in Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Myra in Hay Fever, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest, Prudence in Beyond Therapy and Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew.  Some favorite directing projects include Picasso at The Lapin Agile, Bobby Gould in Hell, The Vagina Monologues (7 times so far), The Warehouse Theatre's 2006-2007 season closer, Bad Dates, The Book of Liz at The University of South Carolina Lab Theatre and Barefoot in the Park.  A long time actor, director, singer, dancer, pianist and all-around literature geek, Jen loves the ability to incorporate so many of her loves (read: obsessions) as a founding (and continuing... obviously) member of The Distracted Globe.

Watch us enough and you'll know that she loves her kitty, makes fun of her boyfriend and hates all feet.  So really, what else do you need to know?
