The Chicago Area Rapid Medical Assistance (CARMA) company was formed by siblings Leena and Ness Jäger. Both had medical training, and their father worked for a rival company SMI, owned by Leena's deceased husband Savisht Sarkissian. After Savisht passed, he bequeathed Leena a large sum of money and a quarter of SMI's contracts.
Savisht's second ex-wife Victoria and children, Dymek and Irena fought Leena in court for years over the contracts, as it was a hit on their reputation. Sadly, the majority of her bequest was tied up paying expensive lawyers about those contracts. The rest of the money went to remodeling and outfitting the office space, purchase and refit of a Mexican Metals Agave VTOL for use as an ambulance, and to hire employees.
There are four different CARMA Care insurance plans:
Red - Armed exfil once the shooting stops. Ammunition Reimbursement and Medical Treatment is at cost.
Gold - Armed exfil from severely hostile environments. Ammunition Reimbursement and Medical Treatment discount of 15%.
Platinum - Armed exfil from severely hostile environments. Ammunition Reimbursement and Medical Treatment discount of 25%.
Black - Armed exfil from severely hostile environments. Ammunition Reimbursement and Medical Treatment discount of 15%. Bullet wounds are not reported to the police.
All packages can be further upgraded by the following plans in any combination the client sees fit to purchase:
Choice - Call for medical standby if you know you're going into a hot zone.
Elite - Ammunition and Medical Treatment discount of an additional +15% to your current plan.
Plus - Preemptively pay to recoup losses should you die. Your body is not sold for parts if CARMA is unable to revive you.
To name a package, start with the prefix CARMA CARE, then add the insurance plan color and any packages in alphabetical order. Thusly, you could have CARMA CARE Black Choice Elite Plus and know what kind of services the client has.
With an Insurance Plan, you receive a free Biomonitor and GPS implant accurate down to one meter that will activate the nearest CARMA unit when you receive wounds.

Mexican Metals Agave Aerodyne
Size: 7 (Huge); Handling: +1; Top Speed: 135; Toughness: 14(4);
Crew: 1+8;
Notes: VTOL, Outfitted as an ambulance
The Blue Goose is a de-militarized Mexican Metals Agave aerodyne painted off-white with the company logo. The pintel mounts for the door gunners are still present at the crash seats, but the guns have been removed. The nose-mounted pod for the rotary gun is also still present, but space is now used for carrying extra medical supplies.
When Leena and Ness picked up the Agave, it was in a very sorry shape. It had a utilitarian interior and was olive drab in color. There was a lot of rust and stress on the vehicle that had to be repaired, plus the suspension, airbrakes, airbrake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear end, rings, mufflers, and wiring all had to be replaced. Still, it was a steal at only $180,000
Once completely rebuilt, the Blue Goose is a workhorse, able to compete with the AVs that the larger corporations use.
Syndic-Tech Modular Multi-Purpose Aerodyne
Size: 7 (Large); Handling: -1; Top Speed: 100; Toughness: 13(2);
Crew: 1+8;
Notes: VTOL, Modular Cargo Compartment outfitted as an ambulance
The second aerodyne purchased by CARMA with the proceeds from the Tara Bluestone contracts is a locally built, Syndic-Tech modular aerodyne with a hot-swappable cargo compartment outfitted as an ambulance. Nicknamed the Toy Wonder by Dax, it is both lighter and somehow less nimble than the militarized Blue Goose. Still, Syndic-Tech gave CARMA a great deal when they purchased her new, receiving two cargo compartments for the price of one. Currently, CARMA is down to a single compartment after a docking clamp failure sent the first compartment hurdling towards the street. Restitution was made to the surviving family of the original Toy Wonder crew. The loss of the first compartment has really cramped Cletus's style, as he now has to work twice as fast to squeegee out the interior of the remaining compartment between calls.
