Configure Windows Update: to enable or disable automatic windows update when configuration from Action Center does not work
Press Windows-key and R-key together (Windows + R)
Type "GPEDIT.MSC" then press Enter to start Group Policy Editor
Expand "User Configuration"
Expand "Administrative Templates"
Expand "System"
Browse "System" to locate "Windows Automatic Updates"
Double click or press Enter on "Windows Automatic Updates" to open settings window
Select "Enable" or "Disable" from the selections
Press Enter or click on "OK" button to save the setting
Close the Group Policy Setting by pressing ALT and F4 together (ALT + F4)
