Practical Activity:
Jigsaw: Complete the following activities for the jigsaw.
Change the Jigsaw blade to another blade.
Set the jigsaw to cut a 30° angle.
Cut a piece of timber with this setup.
Drill: Set the drill up to complete the following tasks.
Drill a hole 9mm in diameter in piece of timber.
Drill a hole half way through a piece of timber.
Router: Set the router up to complete the following cuts (see the sketchup image below).
A rebate joint 10mm into the timber and half the depth of the timber.
A housing joint 50mm from the end, with a depth of the half the timber.
An edge treatment (eg: bevel, du pont, etc) on the end opposite the rebate.
Biscuiter:
Measure the center (the opposite side of the jigsaw cut) of a piece of timber.
Use the biscuiter to create a cut on the middle of this piece of timber ready for the joint.
Test the joint using a biscuit and another persons job.
