SMRG Membership

Joining SMRG is very easy. You can either:

Attend a SMRG Inc. meeting and pay one year's subscription to the Treasurer, along with providing your name, title, phone number, postal address and email address.

Apply to join by mail, enclosing a personal or bank cheque, or postal order for one year's subscription to

A 'Joining Fee' of $1 also applies; however, the SMRG Inc. bye-laws state that this is deemed to be covered by part of the first annual subscription.

Feel free to print out and complete the membership form if you'd like to streamline the process of joining, changing your membership details, or simply renewing membership.

Anyone can attend at SMRG meeting or other event. However, non-members may be charged more for attendance of special events such as visits to galleries, libraries, etc.

SMRG Inc. meets on the third Wednesday in every month. These meetings are usually held at a member's home. Light refreshments (red/white wine, dips, cheese, biscuits, bread, etc) are provided at meetings for which a "gold coin" charge is levied to try to cover the cost of the catering (preferably $2). For catering purposes, it is appreciated if non-attendance can be advised prior to the meeting.

Special outings or events other than the meeting on the third Wednesday of each month are usually held at special venues - details are forwarded to members well in advance of the event.

Regular bulletins/newsletters are sent to members, generally via email but, in the case of those members without email access, via post.
