This is a very old website, with very old links, converted from Google Classic to the new Google Sites. Little of it will be updated.

I'm pretty much fluent in this process, now. My portfolio site is coming along nicely--just added another page to it--and I'm confident enough in it to have sent a manuscript to The Rake Magazine, a fiction piece that has garnered some positive attention lately. This afternoon I also designed and ordered some business cards, to advertise myself as a writer, should I ever have the need to do so. If I need to interview someone, say, or meet with someone: all my information is printed on this rinky-dink little card.
Toki's starved for attention tonight and I can't guess why, honestly. Suddenly he's chatting up a storm and crawling into my lap, shoving his furry kopf under my typing palm. He runs into the room, gazes at me meaningfully, sprints away, returns. Who can know the ways of cats?
Rebecca enjoyed her Magnetic Fields show. I stayed home and codified our Farkle house rules, watched some Daily Show, checked e-mail, all that crap. Wish I could've gone out for drinks with my friends but everyone's busy now and no one does that kind of thing anymore. Meh.
Tomorrow morning I'm heading into downtown to sit at a table for the Professional Editors Network. I recently joined this organization and haven't bee functioning very well within it. Maybe this way I can make some contacts. Wish I had those stupid business cars already--can you believe it they charge you three dollars to not print anything on the back, and another three dollars to mail them to you in a reasonable period of time! "Free," my ass.
