GEORGIA - Cluster Manager

Kia Ora, My name is Georgia Alexander-Crawford and I was the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey programme in the Kaikohekohe area in the summer of 2017-2018 and will be returning for a second year with the programme.

I spent most of my childhood living in Northland, however, the past three years I have been studying at Victoria University of Wellington, working towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree. I love the outdoors and especially love the beach. This summer I’m going to try and learn to surf!

Wish me luck... Last year we had a great number of students from the Kaikohekohe cluster who were involved in the SLJ and produced some awesome, creative blog posts throughout their summer break but I know this year will be even better! I’m really looking forward to being involved in the Summer Learning Journey again, visiting the schools in Kaikohekohe and encouraging you all to get involved in the programme.

I’m Dani. I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Education at Auckland University.

I live in Auckland with my friends and our fat ginger cat. I love staying active by going on walks, going to the gym and playing indoor netball with my friends. I spend my spare time hanging with friends and being in the kitchen; I loving cooking and baking for my friends and family.

I grew up on a massive farm in Okaihau in Northland, where I spent most days exploring the farm and swimming in the river. Two things I miss about Northland are the beaches and the bush walks.

I’m very excited to be part of the Summer Learning Journey. I can’t wait to find out more about you, your whānau and the rich history Northland has!

I am Georgia and I am excited to a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019! I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and have recently completed my second year. I am looking forward to going into my third and last year.

I come from a whanau of five (not including my 3 pets). Although I’ve grown up in Auckland, my childhood summer was always spent in Whangarei with my aunty, uncle and cousins, so I look forward to learning more about Northland.

I enjoy spending time outside as much as possible. This includes hiking, skiing and anything to do with water! I also love spending time with my dog and taking him on walks on the beach.

One of my biggest accomplishments was doing white-water kayaking in 2014. Although one of the scariest activities I have completed, it was also one of my most favourite moments!

I cannot wait to find out more about you and look forward to hearing from you all!

See you soon :)
