These guitar music files are created using the equipment and mod'd amps described on this site. These are musical ideas that get stuck in my head (and fingers) to the point where I thought it worth the time to finish and record them. Mostly they are based on a single musical idea that gets fleshed out into ~8 to 12-bars and then worked into a simple song structure. I try to keep 'em short and to the point. I'll play them on whatever amp and guitar are getting my attention at the time.
Most tracks use a guitar into the TLA 5051 preamp, into the Behringer V-Verb (pre 2010) or GSP-1101 (post 2010), and then into one or more amps.
ProTools 8 or 9 or Audacity picks up signals from either the line-outs of the GSP or DI outputs of the amp(s). No microphones are used in these recordings (so far).

I was fortunate to have the bass and drum tracks created, and all mixing and mastering done by the Richardhead Ensemble at Crestview Studios. The high production quality is due to them - many thanks for their efforts.
Hard Run.mp3 - original composition based on a blues form.
The recording is a single take of a standard Telecaster played through a Uni with all my mods.
The Uni is cranked pretty high and the line out is recorded with Audacity.
