Will of the Reverend Charles Catrow, Clerk 24 Jan 1804 (proved 10 April 1804)

In the Name of God Amen I Charles Catrow late of Louvain in Brabant but now residing at Spetisbury in the County of Dorset Clerk make my Last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath unto the Revd Ralph Southworth ten guineas to whomsoever assists me as confessor three Guineas and unto Miss Catherine Tunstall Twenty pounds and also unto Miss Catherine Joseph Weber? of Louvain five pounds Sterlg once paid I also request that these aforesaid Legacies may be paid from the Money I have in the Bank of England thro.. C.. Consod and for the repose of my Soul Ten Pounds with a particular Memento? in each Mass for Mrs Campbells husband three pds to Martine Fabry one to Mary King and one to Ann Tebbs of Amesbury and as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Monies Debts Goods Chattels and Effects whatsoever or wheresoever Subject to the payment of my Debts funeral and Testamentary expenses and such Legacies as I may give or bequeath by any Codicil or codicils to this my Will unto any person not here mentioned I likewise constitute and appoint the above named Revd Ralph Southworth Executor of this my Will and herby empower the sd Rd Ralph Southworth to dispose of my own personal property as those (if I have one) Watches Silver Bi..s or the amount to be given to the Community towards the common payment of debts after giving two pds Sterlg to Mr John Riley of two pds Sterlg to Mr Robert Easter should any of the above named persons to whom I have left Legacies die before me I request that each particular Sum be given to Mrs Stonor her Executors and Assignees excepting the Ten Guineas left to the Rd Ralph Southworth as my Executor in case of whose death previous to mine I appoint by these the Revd Jas S…t for that purpose all my Books both here and at Louvain left by Miss C Tunstall to the care of Mr Peter Mervellis? of Louvain I leave to my Successor my wearing apparel that can be of service to the Sisters I request may be given to each one as the procuratrix thinks would be most to my Will the other part to Mr Riley Mr M Fabry and Rob Easter all Money in the Funds belonging to me and debts due to me from Mrs Mary Stonor I bequeath to the said Mrs Mary Stonor her lawful heirs and assignees as to all Securities for Money given to me from Mr Pr Weber of Louvain Werbrest? of Antwerp Rd St Ast… Thos Meade esqr of Montserrat Mrs O Brian or any other person or persons not here mentioned I bequeath unto Mrs Stonor and her lawful Executors and assignees with the interests and …als I declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24 of Jany in the year of Our Lord 1804 Charles Catrow (SS)

This Will was proved at London the tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four before the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prorogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of The Reverend Ralph Southworth Clerk the Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Admon was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer
