Les Miserables

South St. Paul Secondary School and Tri-District Community Education are proud to present their 2012-2013 all-school musical: Les Miserables.

Les Miserable is the smash hit Broadway musical based on the novel by Victor Hugo. The story is set in revolution-era France. It tells the story of Jean Valjean, who serves 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread, and is then hunted down for years by the policeman Javert. Along the way Valjean meets: Fantine, a woman desperate to take care of her daughter Cosette; Thenardier, a rascal and a thief; and a band of students who would change the world through revolution. Les Miserables features unforgettable songs such as "I Dreamed a Dream", "Castle on a Cloud", "The People's Song", and "At the End of the Day."
