Auditions

Information for students interested participating in SSPSS's Fall 2010 Full-Length Play.

South St. Paul Secondary School students in grades 7-12 are invited to audition for acting roles or apply for technical roles for the Fall Play: Frankenstein 1930.

Auditions will be held on Oct. 4 and 5 at 2:45pm in the theatre. Students auditioning for an acting part will need to attend only one of those two days. Other audition times can also be scheduled with Mr. Holsen. Information sheets and audition/applicatino forms are available at the theatre call board, or by clicking on the links below.

Auditioning students need to check the theatre call board on Wednesday to see if they have been called for callbacks and to sign up for a time slot for their callback audition. Callbacks will be scheduled on Thursday, October 7 and will also take place in the theatre. Please note, callbacks do not necessarily mean you are or are not in the play!

Students applying for a technical position will fill out the same audition/application form as the actors. It is possible for some students to be both an actor and on the technical crew (though all actors will do some tech work). Examples of technical roles would include:

  • costume, lights, props, set building crew
  • running crew positions (stage manager, light board operator, etc)
  • front of house crew (ushers, concessions, box office)

Theatre is a wonderful learning experience for all students! I look forward to seeing you all at auditions on Oct. 4, 5 and 7.
