* Check the air bag system every 12 months, regardless of mileage. Check the airbag system at 4 years, 8 years, and then every 2 years after.
*** Replace the air filter every 2 years or 40,000 miles, whichever occurs first: Cabrio, Passat, Euro Van. Replace the air filter every 4 years or 40,000 miles, or whichever occurs first: Golf, Jetta, New Beetle.
**** Replace the brake fluid every 2 years, regardless of mileage.
A = Automatic Transmission, M = Manual Transmission
