With the quarterly we need to include a warrantied part value report so that we dont pay sales tax on warranty parts.
For the quarter run a "labor sales by category" report. Drill down to the warranty/goodwill category and find the amount of labor charged to goodwill.
Subtract the labor dollars from the "warranty" expense line in quickbooks. The remainder is the retail dollar amount of parts warranty that we have run through the system and ROWriter is showing as taxable, but that we should not be paying to the BOE.
