A Review/tutorial of the LG 27MU67
4K UHD IPS LED Monitor.
I use the LG 27MU67 monitor to connect a ROKU4 as well as my PC using an AMD RX480 (via an HDMI2.0 connection) to the same monitor. I drive both devices via a SONY DN860. The monitor supports many different screen options including gaming. The monitor has survived anything I can throw at it. I use Windows10 in 4K and normally zoom everything up to 150% as my eyesight is not great. I have driven the monitor directly as well with Display port 4K@60hz and the picture is faultless. I do not have anything else to compare the monitor to but I have had this unit for over a year now and it works for me. Be aware that this monitor only has a headphone connection for audio. The monitor includes support for HDCP2.2 so anything withHDCP2.2 copyright protection will work.
I wanted a Monitor for my PC and Video Streamer.
My requirements to be able to play 4K streaming.
HDMI 2.0
This is a must if you intend to play any 4K material at 60 frames per second (fps).
HDCP 2.2
What is HDCP 2.2 ?
HDCP 2.2 is High Defenition copyright protection. This creates a secure connection at both ends of the cable.
HDCP makes sure that the data within the cable (HDMI or Display Port) is secure.
