The camera has to be supported by something like tripod. A magnetic base and poles for optical experiments are useful.

To earn the depth of focus, the aperture size has to be as large as possible.

To allow the camera to set the shutter speed under a specified aperture size,

set the exposure mode (P, S, A, or M) to A (Aperture-Priority Auto).

Set the aperture to the largest or close to the largest using sub command dial (beyond the on/off switch.)

The shutter speed determined by the camera under the optimal exposure condition may be as slow as 10 s.

To avoid a camera shake by pressing down on the shutter release, use 10 sec timer function.
