Members gathered for our annual Thanksgiving feast.

Pot Washing
Today was the first day of a two day event . . . "Pot Washing and Sorting" . . . what a hardy group of SMG started the two day event off right with over 1000 pots washed.
October Meeting
The October Meeting was held October 21. We had a great turnout!. SMG Gardener of the Month was Brenda Smith. We were blessed with 2 Speakers this month. Mike Ezell spoke on Butterfiles In Alabama, and Eilene Tully spoke about the Upcoming AMGA conference in Huntsville.
September Meeting
The September meeting was held at St. Florian park. It was the Fall Picnic. This year it was moved to the September meeting due to inclimate weather in October in previous years.
August meeting
Thank you Barbara Wilson for providing our August meeting on container flowers.

WORK DAY AT HELEN KELLER LIBRARY
A hardy band of Shoals Master Gardeners showed up at the Helen Keller Library this morning early and 2 hours later, clean beds, trimmed shrubs and even a dead snag sawed down and hauled off........what a group!
UPDATED MASTER GARDENER OFFICE
The Shoals Master Gardeners now have a new and expanded office in the Lauderdale County Extension office. Two new desks have been setup as well as the one desktop computer and one landline phone. The other Hotline phone is yet to be hooked up. Our goal is to reestablish our presence by manning the office and assisting the staff answering consumer questions!

POT COLLECTION FOR NEXT YEAR
We are making plans for next years plant sale. We need pots! Please collect and save any pots you know of. We will clean and store them for next year.
EXTENSION WORK DAY -
Master Garden volunteers worked on the beds at the Lauderdale County Extension office. Beds were weeded, shrubs trimmed and new plantings completed.

An excellent crowd was on hand to hear Abbie Hyche talk on "landscaping with Native plants"
