Master Gardeners are Extension-trained volunteer educators. We improve the lives of Alabamians through research-based horticulture education delivered by a dedicated, trained, and involved Extension volunteer team.
Throughout the year, we host and attend a wide variety of educational events, volunteer to improve landscaping and gardening projects in our community, and provide horticultural information throughout the Shoals.
Enhance Master Gardener’s knowledge of and interest in horticulture and related activities.
Provide community service to residents of the Shoals area by way of horticulture projects and education. Disseminate information on horticultural practices and techniques as approved by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
Provide opportunities for Master Gardeners to associate with others who have interests in horticulture.
Operate consistent with the bylaws and directives of the Alabama Master Gardener Association (AMGA).
If you have a keen interest in horticulture and sharing it with others, consider joining the Shoals Master Gardeners. This is a active club made up of members from all over northwest Alabama. Learn how to apply here.
