The students created a variety of very strong collages from this assignment.
The project began by teaching the students different collage techniques, then they created collages using their choice of subject matter. The principle of design, "Emphasis" was emphasized throughout the project. Please see the project description sheet below for more information. Take a look at some of the students working on their collages, and compare to the final results.

Kelly created an amazing collage of her own dog, titled, My Dog.
Lucy worked out incredible detail on her collage title, Old Bay Bridge.
Amelia brought out the fun in collage with her interpretation of a sushi dinner, titled, Raw.

The Advanced Art 2 students engaged in a different collage process using a solvent called CitraSolv on National Geographic pages. Beautiful results.
