Learn more about the exciting history of an abandoned Victorian power station transforming its space to house art makers of the world. We will chat about the unique curatorial approach embraced at Tate Modern and beeline through some important movements in modern art to understand the shift in Western contemporary art from figurative art towards more conceptual and performative forms of art. We will also try to unpick a few elements of performance art which relate to yoga – the new wing at Tate Modern features the worlds first museum gallery space permanently dedicated to live performance art.

Learn how Britain built its gardening skills on the deprivation, passion and greed of being one of the poorest sites of biodiversity in the world eager for sensory stimulation.






Camelia Shakti is a dancer, somatic practitioner and living storyteller helping people rebalance their autonomic nervous sytem with somatic movement and sensory storytelling. Since 2016 she has been sharing sensory rich walking tours at Kew Gardens, Tate Modern, the the City of London and special tea and food tasting tours in Covent Garden with the amazing Context Travel. She has since launched @movingstorytellers on zoom to make her conversations with movement artists public and continued to evolve her somatic movement art practise and research.
