Pentecost is coming soon, June 8th, and it is always a wonderful day for those who like to officially become members of a church to be recognized. If you have been part of this community but have not yet officially become a member of Scotia UMC but would like to, please contact Pastor Doug by June 1.
Bake Sale/Soup Sale will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 9 am to 11 am. We have not had one in a long time so let’s make this one successful by your soup and baked goods donations. Please make sure your items are labeled. Cookies and brownies should be packaged with 6 or 12 to a package. All items should be prepackaged, which means less handling of the product. We will package cupcakes individually for you. Items can be dropped off at the church on Friday, June 13 from 4 pm to 6 pm. If you have any questions, call or text Deb Cieslak at 518-429-9998.
We would like to recognize and honor any students, at any level, who are graduating and going on to the next stage of life in this season of celebrations. Please share with us the names and information for any students you would like to have so recognized. We plan to have this celebration on June 22 so please have any names into the office by June 15th.
Our directory is out of date! If everyone could please provide an updated email address, phone number and home address for each member of your family. Please put this information either on a note and drop it off in the workroom or the Loomis Room on Sunday after church, or email scotiaumoffice@gmail.com.
Please consider volunteering for any of the various needs to help support Scotia UMC. Sign up lists are located on the bulletin board across from the elevator in the hallway outside of the sanctuary.

The finance committee invites you to consider signing up for automatic contributions to support the church. Enrolling in automatic giving is super easy and provides several benefits:
Consistency – Even if you’re away, your giving remains steady.
Convenience – No need to remember to bring cash or a check.
Financial Stability – Helps our Finance Committee plan and budget more effectively.
By setting up automatic contributions, you make giving easier for yourself while also supporting the church’s ongoing ministries and outreach efforts. To sign up, all you have to do is fill out a VERY simple one-page form. You can pick it up at coffee hour after any service or contact the church office to have one sent to your home. Thank you for considering this option.
