AA meets at our church every Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thu nights between the hours of 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The meetings are closed so please respect their privacy - which they take seriously. Food Pantry We will be collecting for the food pantry this week.
Scotia UMC will be hosting a Maundy Thursday Dinner Worship on April 17th, beginning at 6pm. Please let us know if you would like to attend and look for the food signup sheets to ensure we have plenty of food for all.
Good Friday service will be hosted by Alplaus UMC at 6:30 pm.
The Rummage Sale will be Friday, May 2nd from 9-3 and Sat., May 3rd- 9-1. Volunteers are needed to start sorting and do set-up on Thursday, April 24th through Saturday, the 26th, and Monday, the 28th, through Thursday, May 1st. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the hall bulletin board. PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME TO THE LISTS! Also, church folk can now bring their donations. Please put them in Classroom 1.
Sunday School this week - This Sunday we will be talking about Jesus, his great gift to us, his sacrifice and the empty tomb. We will also make a sweet Easter treat
to illustrate His resurrection

The SUMC Church & Society Social Justice Group will meet every 3rd Wednesday at 1:30PM from now until May. Summer meetings to be determined at a later date. See upcoming dates: April 16, May 21.
CROP Walk- Schenectady’s CROP Walk is set for Sunday, May 4th at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School, 1801 Union Street, Schenectady, 12309. There is a way for everyone to participate in fighting hunger. Each year Crop Walk collects funds to help the hungry locally and around the world. Please support your church CROP Walk this year by signing up to walk or sponsor an individual walker. See our display after church to sign up or sponsor a person. If you would like to sign up and donate, online go to events.crophungerwalk.org and search for ScotiaUMC Circuit Riders. Or you can scan this QR code. If you decide to donate to Crop Walk through the offering plate, please make the check out to Scotia UMC and note "Crop Walk" on the memo line. Please continue to keep the family and friends of Ann Chatterton in your prayers. Ann, 81, died on February 20. She was married to the Rev. Richard Chatterton, who served as the Albany District Superintendent from 1990-1998 and several churches in the former Troy Conference, including Cobleskill UMC and Saranac Lake: First UMC. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, April 26 beginning at 10 a.m. at Burnt Hills UMC, located at 816 NY Route 50 in Burnt Hills. You can watch a livestream of the service here. Eastern Parkway UMC invites us to a special event: A visit with Missionary Rev. Charles Mulemema. At EPUMC, Monday, May 19 at 6pm. Rev. Mulemena, a dedicated missionary serving with the General Board of Global Ministries, is a pastor and trainer for the MCCA Belize Honduras District, The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas, and has an inspiring story of service that spans continents. Mulemena will share his experiences and the impact of his ministries in Belize. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about the work of the UMC in the Caribbean and the Americas and learn how the global church is making a difference in communities far and wide.
