South Brunswick Women's Lacrosse Wins Title at Wildwood Tournament

South Brunswick, NJ - The South Brunswick Vikings Black women's lacrosse team brought home the Under 17 championship title after a beach lacrosse tournament held this past weekend at Morey's Pier in Wildwood.

The Wildwood event is the only beach lacrosse tournament in the U.S. Teams travel from all over the East Coast to compete on the huge, beautiful beaches of Wildwood. That's why for South Brunswick to take home the title is a big accomplishment, their coach, Sean Edwards says.

"Our South Brunswick High School program brought 3 teams total: A black team, a gold team and a white team of younger players who also did a great job and had a lot of fun," said Edwards, who is also a high school phys ed teacher and coaches 9th grade boys' basketball in addition to varsity women's lacrosse. "The players on the black team who won are incoming seniors Jill Grzelak, Deepshika Muruganathan, Tenaj Lael, Angela Mazolla, Kimmy Cooper, Beccy Zheng, and Dakota Apicella."

Nice win to all the ladies.
