The survey results were presented to Sandpiper members at the special November 23 general meeting. A lovely lunch was provided in large part to the excellent work of Anne Harrison and Elaine Gauthier, thank you both very much. Jerrie Traynor and the program committee will be meeting in December to put together a report for posting on the Sandpiper website and the Sandpiper bulletin board at the Sauble Centre

Soup's On is Wednesday December 19th at 11:30 am cost is $5/person. What a great time to come to the Centre for excellent food, good friends and social time

We are having a Theater Bus Trip to Toronto on July 31, 2019 to see Dear Evan Hansen. Bernadette Walsh, thank you for making the arrangements and thank you to Bette Mortley 519-422-1534 who will be collecting the $100. deposit for the trip. There are theater trip forms posted on the Sandpiper bulletin board at the Sauble Centre and on Sandpiper website. There are 8 seats left, get your your forms in quickly (click here for form) . It is on a first come first served basis!

Lest we Forget

Services will be held at the Wiarton and Hepworth Cenotaphs on Sunday November 11th @ 11am.

The Sandpipers are laying wreaths at both cenotaphs in memory of those who served and gave their lives so we can enjoy our freedom in this amazing country, Canada.

On Friday November 23 at 11:30 am, there is a special general meeting to present the results of the Sandpiper survey. The results have been skillfully complied by the Traynor Homestead team of Jerrie, Mike and Josh Traynor.

We, the Sandpipers, have been so fortunate to have the expertise and guidance of Jerrie and her team to navigate us through this process.

Jerrie has connected with Georgian College and arranged for a part time student to collect information from the community.

Thanksgiving is upon us and we can enjoy the leaves changing to lovely red/orange colours.

We are so fortunate to live in a country like Canada, and can be so thankful for all our blessings.

This is the best season JUNE and DON Dougall and WAYNE Dickerson have had selling 50/50 TICKETS ON THE BEACH with THE SAUBLE SUNSET CRUISERS. They have raised over $6,213.20 for Caring for Cancer.

Job well done. When you see them, give them a huge THANK YOU.

Labour Day weekend is upon us, were did the summer go?

It has been a very busy and active summer with excellent weather.

A survey has been sent to you our members via email and also via regular mail( for members who do not have email).

Please take the time to fill in survey. If you misplaced your survey it is posted on the website. click here

Wednesday August 29, 56 Sandpipers travelled to Toronto to see "Come From Away", amazing show, wonderful event and run superbly by Bernadette Walsh, thank you.

Also many thanks to June and Dougall, Sue Osburn, Betty Murphy, Marie Horton, Sharon Beatty, Bev Neely and Pat Loucks for all their assistance. Looking at bus trip for next year to see Dear Nathan Evans ( watch for more information).

Bernice Pew and Joerg Leiss are celebrating 90th birthdays this month.

There will be a party for Bernice at the Oliphant Hall Sunday September 16 starting at 1:30 pm.

Joerg will be celebrating his birthday on Wednesday September 19th at 10 am in St. John's United church basement, Wiarton.

Art Haley is celebrating his 103 rd birthday on September 13 at 2 pm at Gateway Haven.

What a season JUNE, DON and WAYNE have had selling 50/50 TICKETS ON THE BEACH with THE SAUBLE SUNSET CRUISERS. Tuesday September 18 will be the last 50/50 draw for the 2018 season. The money raised is going to Caring for Cancer.
