The Yokosuka Naval Base USO Card Project

On a recent visit to the USO at Yokosuka Naval Base, Sasebo Members learned that there was a great need for handmade cards for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. When family members send birthday messages to a seaman, the USO puts their messages in a card and delivers it along with a cake. Typically, they send out 300 cards per year. Sasebo members have been making cards for this program.
