- Before you go flying here -
New, Visiting and International Pilots - Please read this page
- You have learned much, but there is still much you can learn
- You will need to hook up with the local pilots to continue learning as there is much more to it.
- You will also need to learn the sites and the micro meteorology
- Its better to fly together
- So PLEASE Contact Us and read here
- We love to see new faces
- However all of our sites are privately owned and as such we need to be on good terms with our very generous landowners as we fly from their front yards on their kindness. As such we need visitors to be with a local pilot when sites are accessed so that we can continue to use them and not upset the locals
- Consequently PLEASE Contact Us before flying in SA and NT
- PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ROAD ACCESS TO MYPONGA LAUNCH IS STRICTLY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
- For international pilots, to fly in Australia, you will need to contact SAFA( https://www.safa.asn.au/visiting-international-pilots and satisfy them that you are currently suitably rated in your country of origin, this will require some documented proof such as IPP card.
- After they are satisfied they will issue you a short term licence.
- Before you fly in a location please contact the local pilots or organisation, as sites are often used at the generous permission of the landowners and incorrect use may jeopardise the long term availability of these sites
Let me know how you go, or if you need some more information or assistance.
Please contact me or another executive member on sahpga.exec@gmail.com when you finish your course or arrive here
Yours sincerely Stuart
