I was part of the recruitment fair planning committee. To start off, we had a meeting with everyone in the club to ask for ideas and to allocate manpower for the day itself. We also have to come up with the shift timetable so that everyone can be involved in the recruitment fair. After briefing everyone on what to do on that day, the planning committee had to do up the brochures and prepare all the things that we need for the fair. For example, purchasing and packing the goodie bags, purchasing the lucky draw item, liaising with the school side on the booth provided and what else can we do to attract more people to come to our booth and to join us.
On the day itself, I had to ensure that everything we need is at the booth and that everything is going smoothly. We decorated the booth with 2 big lion balloons that was hand-made by one of our talented members. I had to engage with the students and let them know about what our club is doing and get them to sign up for our club. Other than getting more people to know about our club and joining us, it was also a good time for our club to bond together. After gathering enough interests and sign-ups from the students, we carried out our lucky draw event and gave away one portable charger. Overall, the recruitment fair was quite successful as we managed to get more selfless individuals who have the same interests to join us in contributing to the society.
