Good torches/head torches
Lots and lots of books
Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS with Tracks4Africa mapping
Shovel
Tools
Lots and lots of various electrical cables
Enough cable ties to pin down Gulliver on his travels
Malaria tablets to last months
Credit with attorney
Big fancy tool box and socket set
Haynes manual for Defender 90
(Both of the above to be used by people on our behalf)
Did I mention books?
Jo so far has bought 10 cartons of Sobranie Menthol cigarettes and not much else.
Medically we have 3 months supply of anti malarial drugs (doxycycline,) enough for 2 months in the malarial zone and a broad spectrum antibiotic. We also have a first aid kit. We've also had Yellow Fever, and six other vaccinations - which I remained conscious throughout the administration of - a first.
edit - I wish I'd brought more cigarettes ran out twice already. Bought more books on the way though...
