Rhubarb has been kitted out to make our lives a bit easier. When we bought him he'd already had a suspension lift and the shocks and suspension upgraded to Munro gas shocks. Since then we've stripped out the rear bench seats and fitted the following:
Front Runner, four drawer sliding storage system.
National Luna 40L Fridge/Freezer
40L Secondary Fuel tank and pump
Sump/Steering guard
Second spare wheel (bonnet mounted)
Hannibal Roof Top tent
Hannibal Awning
KC Daylighter 155W Spot Lights
Dual Battery System
New Stereo/Speakers (not sure why we bothered, you still can't hear anything at anything over 100kph)
Name badge (aka. license plate)
Dual roof top jerry can holder for another 40L's of diesel
He's been in and out of the garage for weeks having this stuff fitted and his every whim catered for. After a while I think the mechanic wanted to tell me,
– It's a fucking Land Rover - they leak.
I prefer to think he's just marking his territory rather than leaking
Engine wise he's standard - 300Tdi 2.5L Land Rover Engine so not winning any races on the roads. Off-road though, the best out of the box car there is.
We have got him a Carnet de Passage - essentially a passport for the car that you need in several countries en route.
