About us

Our environment is constantly fluctuating - so at a time of environmental change, the obvious thing to think about is how average values change. On the other hand, most impacts from environmental change are from extreme values and, more generally, natural variability.

The network "ReCoVER" aims to develop and apply new mathematical tools and methods to understand environmental variability and the connections with environmental risks. For the period April 2015 to March 2018 we are funded by the UK research council EPSRC to promote research in this area via a number of mechanisms.
