ON-CALL POLICY

1. A resident On-Call determines that the requested procedure is indicated. (May discuss with NM attending as needed.) The NM attending on call list is emailed by Dr. Ongseng on a monthly basis but can also be checked on Amion, which is usually more frequently updated: Who's on call 

2. A resident On-Call calls Nuclear Medicine technologist On-Call to come in for the study. A link to the call schedule can be found here: 2025 MAY MS West STL Combined On Call Schedule.xls - Google Sheets 

   • Start by calling Matthew Peringattu, who is usually the on-call technologist for West/Morningside 

3. After the study is done, the NM technologist sends images to PACS.

4. NM technologist notifies the resident On-Call by phone. The NM Technologist stands by while the resident consulting with an attending On-Call.

5. The On-Call resident calls the On-Call Nuclear Medicine Attending to discuss the case. The on-call attending schedule is sent monthly via email by Dr. Ongseng. 

6. If all the necessary images have been obtained, the on-call resident calls the NM technologist who then completes the study in Epic.

7. The on-call resident dictates the case to the attending.
