Research Support Practitioner Group
Purpose
The purpose of the Information Resources Practitioner Group is to:
1. To monitor the environment to identify emerging issues and trends in research support relevant to QULOC libraries.
2. To provide a forum for benchmarking and the exchange of information on good practice, resources and strategies relating to research support.
3. To cooperatively develop and implement programs, models, methodologies and professional development relating to research support in QULOC libraries.
4. To communicate and collaborate with other QULOC Communities of Practice and Practitioner Groups on matters of shared interest.
5. To advise and make recommendations to the University Librarians on research support issues relevant to QULOC.
Membership
The group consists of one to two nominated representatives from member institutions.
Meeting Schedule
The Research Support Practioner Group meets four times per year.
Reporting Schedule
An annual report is provided to the last University Librarians Committee meeting of the year.
