Information Resources Practitioner Group
Purpose
The purpose of the Information Resources Practitioner Group is to:
To monitor the environment to identify emerging issues and trends in information resources relevant to QULOC libraries.
To provide a forum for benchmarking and the exchange of information on best practice, resources and strategies relating to information resources.
To cooperatively develop and implement professional development relating to information resources when relevant..
To communicate and collaborate with other QULOC Practitioner Groups and Communities of Practice on matters of shared interest.
To communicate, advocate and/or partner with external groups or agencies on relevant issues.
To advise and make recommendations to the University Librarians on information resources issues relevant to QULOC.
Membership
The group consists of one to two nominated representatives from member institutions
Meeting Schedule
The Information Resources Practitioner Group meets three to four times per year.
Reporting Schedule
An annual report is provided to the last University Librarians Committee meeting of the year.
