Robotic platform:

The main research is focused on a underwater vehicle and a 4 dof underwater electrical manipulator. we call the system UVMS(underwater Vehicle-Manipulator System). This is a classic Intervention-AUV.

The reserch content include:

  • development and construction of UVMS
  • modeling and control of autonomous underwater vehicle
  • coordinated control of vehicle and the manipulator
  • navigation and control of autonomous underwater vehicle based on DVL(compass embeded)
  • static target perception and AUV tracking based on the IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) and monocular vision.

Development Philosophy:

Integrating every components in control system into simulink to improve the development efficency of experimental UVMS.
