Eight 'Siddhi's

1. 'Anima' - This achievement can make a material body to transform to a size of an atom.
2. 'Mahima' - It's the opposite of 'Anima', i.e. the power to enlarge ones body.
3. 'Laghima' - The power to make ones body as light as possible on wish.
4. 'Garima' - It's the opposite of 'Laghima', i.e. to make ones body as heavier as wished.
5. 'Prapti' - The power to get any materialistic things on wish.
6. 'Bashityo' - To make any thing or being, under slavery / to tame .
7. 'Prokamya' - The power to fulfill any type of wish.
8. 'Ishityo' - Like God has Supremacy over all being, it provides power to be Supreme like God to any being in this world.

It has to be remembered, though a Yogi after all the eight Siddhis becomes Supreme like God but cannot be God who is omniscient and infinite .

Though these powers come to all Yogis but they are all illusive and tempting. If the powers are misused for any materialistic need or name or fame, he slowly loose these powers and pave the path to downfall. Many highly advanced Yogis fall pray to the temptation of this 'AstaSiddhi'. It has to be remembered that these are all test for a yogi. A Yogi should overcome all these test to reach his destiny. That's why a yogi must be carefully detached from all these powers. A true Yogi, keeps himself in deep meditation / Dhayan keeping the target fixed to get the ultimate destiny of self realization detaching from all these Siddhis.
