Just by whispering 'Mantra' in the ears with the name of some God or Goddesses or getting advice of chanting some "Hring" , "Kling" , etc. doesn't mean a proper 'Diksha' (Initiation). The 'Karma' (work) which sheds away sins, earns oneself the Spiritual Knowledge is Diksha. The teachings of how to suppress 'Kamana' (Meterialistic Wish) & 'Basana' (Desire) is Diksha. The inner power of Diksha is such eternal, lovable and mysterious that it can elevate a human to God and can take one from finite to infinite. According to our Great Gurudev Deoghar Baba ( Sri Sri Panchanan Bhattacharya Mahasaya) - Diksha means 'Upodesh' (Advice). If we break the word we get, "Upo" which means upper and "Desh" means country or somewhere to stay. In human body the Kuthasta cave stays above our spinal cord where "ChidAtma"or the supreme spirit resides; from here absolute calm/still 'Prana' (soul) which is known as 'Sthir Prana' at his unwillingness willing set to motion and comes down below throat when he forget himself and turns to "Jiva" (living being / species). The fact is, until that species again returns back to its absolute calm state at his own place, 'Upodesh', he will not regain his own self 'ChidAtma - Prana'. Hence, 'Jiva' has to rescue all by himself, converting himself to 'Paramatma' (Supreme soul or God) after placing his soul to Upodesh in absolute quietness, as directed through Diksha by 'SadGuru'.
It has to be mentioned here, the state of mind, the disciple and Guru holds during initiation, imparts that type of result. Like if both of them has 'Rajashik' (luxurioius) or 'Tamashik' (lower nasty) mentality the output will be of same type. At present most of the Diksha takes place in 'Rajashik' or 'Tamashik' manner. That's why we get like type of result.
