The Church was a beautiful, small building of worship. Today we have many faiths and we now accommodate the needs of patients with multi faith rooms. However, in the past the main faith was Christianity. The founder of the asylum was a Christian, Therefore, a Church was built on the site. The site of the Church is now a small car park at the top of the Gardner unit and the the new "junction 17" unit. The Church was situated very close to the Hospital greenhouses which is now the "Newlands step down" and "John Denmark Unit".
