30 Degree Long sqrt(N) Test

    1. Obtain 10 exposures (dithered) about each center for 30 degrees

      • Along Stripe 82, following preRigidGrid-v3 footprint

      • Test √N and how rigidity of a length of PreCam observations

    2. Standard PreCam exposures

      • (g,r,i,z,y) = (36 51 65 162 73) = 387+5*20 = 487 seconds.

      • Call it 10 minutes/position, 260 positions total = 43 hours

      • with standards, 51 hours

      • => 6 nights w/o weather.

      • Do-able inside our 2 weeks, modulo the moon.

    3. Standard PreCam standard star observations

      • The usual set of standard star fields, 3 fields/hour

    4. 26 centers along Stripe 82

      • for each center, 10 observations in a dither-slither format

      • implemented as tilings, different tiling numbers for photometric, non-photometric

      • positions and exposure times provided by PreCam ObsTac

    5. Full moon is Sept 8 2010. New moon is Sept 23.

      • do i,z,y first. Move to g,r as moon conditions permit.
