Create your own Fantastic Mr. Fox in this fun and engaging pottery workshop!
Join me for a fantastic day of clay, where I'll guide you step-by-step through simple construction techniques to bring this charming character to life. Working with terracotta clay, we'll model a simplified, easy-to-create fox, making this workshop perfect for beginners and more experienced potters alike.
Once our foxes are formed, we'll delve into the exciting world of decorating. We'll use underglazes and the sgraffito technique – scraping through the underglaze to reveal the clay beneath – to create fur texture and whiskers. You'll even have the option to mix your own custom fox colour!
This creative workshop runs from 10 am to 3 pm. Please bring your own lunch, as it's not included, but tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day. While you won't be able to take your finished fox home immediately, he'll be ready for collection from the venue two to three weeks after the workshop, once he's been dried and fired.
This workshop offers a fun and absorbing day, whether you come with friends or are looking to make new ones. Come and create a Fantastic Mr. Fox of your very own!
