During the past six months there has been a sharp increase of calls from residents reporting rodent activity within their units. The common areas of the property receive monthly service for mice and other pests and the treatment for mice within units has historically been handled on an as needed basis. At this time the increased level of rodent activity is beyond specific treatments to individual units and a property wide service has been scheduled to inspect and treat within all eighty-two residential dwellings at the complex.
Beginning next week on Thursday, May 23rd, MD Weaver will be conducting a building wide clean-out, unit by unit, to treat for rodents in the building. Please see the schedule below. It is imperative that they access each unit, even if no activity is present in the unit at this time. They will begin at 9:00 am each day and move up the street from building to building. They will start on the top floor of a building and work down sequentially by unit number. Please ensure that someone is at home to provide access to your unit. Two technicians will be working simultaneously in separate units and they anticipate spending between 25-35 minutes in each unit.
Attached is additional correspondence from MD Weaver with information on: products they plan to use; best practices to keep pests at bay; and consumer information from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Providing access to your unit is a major hassle but your participation is greatly appreciated. Every owner and resident will benefit from 100% participation. The current level of rodent activity warrants an inspection of each unit and when the treatments are complete any unit that is not treated will become the path of least resistance for any displaced mice.
