Procedures for Entering the Math Classroom

We will be learning many procedures and routines for the smooth running and management of the classroom. These are the most important:

  1. All eating, chewing, throwing, and grooming are to occur outside the classroom.
  2. Bring required materials to class.
  3. Before the bell rings, enter the classroom quietly. If necessary, sharpen your pencil in the first 5 minutes of class.
  4. Sit down and remain seated throughout the class.
  5. Begin working on your warm-up. Be prepared to get out your homework. Do not waste time.

Failure to observe these rules and procedures will result in:

  • Loss of Class Dojo points
  • Seat changes
  • Class detention at next break
  • Parent contacts
  • Referral to the office
  • Class Suspension

If a substitute teacher writes a student's name down for poor behavior, then an automatic referral will result.
