The California Common Core Math Standards are made of two parts:
The Math Content Standards are very similar to the previous math content standards except in two ways: 1) Algebra is not mandatory in 8th grade, and 2) California, like many states, is integrating the math content standards. This is why we have for the new high school courses:
These 3 courses will cover the same material as: Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. After that, the high school pathway is the same as before:
