Stories-Only Information
- First name is Gregory
- Idolizes Hamilton and wants to prove himself a worthy deputy district attorney
- Is particularly repulsed by crime and considers himself sort of a Don Quixote of the modern day, fighting corruption in Los Angeles County
Other Known Allies: Deputy D.A. Victor Chamberlin
Other Known Enemies: Mysterious intruder
Knife-thrower
Delilah
- In the main timeline, Sampson has been attacked and nearly killed by an unknown intruder into his home. Sampson wounded the man, but could not defeat him in the end.
Taking the knife for Hamilton, as he does in How to Start a War and To Prove Yourself, is not part of the main timeline. Those stories were written as being extremely experimental, and with Sampson's injuries in The Malevolent Mugging, have been fully rendered independent of the main timeline.
- Sampson is tortured by a femme fatale named Delilah who tries to bribe him into letting her get off easy on a felony jewel robbery charge. Of course, he doesn't budge an inch.
- He is often at odds with one of the other deputy D.A.s, Miles Edgeworth (from the Phoenix Wright games).
