Definition of Backaround

Pen Spinning Trick Directoy treats Backaround as the original Backaround trick of David Weis, and more typical (Korean) Backaround tricks, or Fingerless Fingeraround Reverses, are treated not as true Backarounds but as Fingerless fingeraround Reverses. In Backarounds, the pen should goes around the base of the finger, which is to say, if the pen moves around the finger, far from the base of it, the trick will be a failed Backaround or Korean Backaround.

Multiple rotations of Backaround tricks are traditionally supposed to be extra spins of the pen on the back of fingers, unlike those of Fingeraround tricks.
