Nationally I was a member of the Higher Education Academy Health Sciences and Practice Subject Centre E-Learning Special Interest Group.
I was also a member of several work streams focused on the development of 'digital literacies' of students and staff, and through these provide an ongoing staff development role to academic and administrative staff.

e-learning plays a strong role in my learning and teaching activities. I am a strong advocate of blended learning as a means of supporting professional education and training and provides opportunities for students and staff to develop skills in C&IT at every opportunity.
I have a particular research interest in the development and integration of e-learning, within pre and post registration nurse education and the use of blended and e-learning in CPD activities. I recently completed an MSc with a specialist focus on e-learning in professional education.
